If you strongly disapprove of political correctness or PC as it is often referred to, get in touch with Philip Davis MP at the House of Commons, Westminster SW1. Mr Davis is leading the Campaign Against Political Correctness.

Political correctness is an attack on free speech, clear thinking and discussion. Political correctness is perpetrated by the left in politics as a cover for their flawed ideology - a sort of cultural Marxism. Political correctness is an attack on all the cohesive elements of our society using the grounds that they are repressive and need liberalising. Political correctness is Marxism without the gun. It seeks to inhibit personal freedom of speech and action, replacing it with a Marxist dogma that we are all supposed to embrace. In reality though, Political correctness has done untold damage to our society by giving supposedly 'repressed' groups freedoms without any sort of balancing responsibility. Worst of all though, political correctness is an insidious ideological disease which has spread unchecked because most people just think of it as a joke.
Political correctness has made common sense a thing of the past. If you catch a burglar in your house then it's best to help the poor soul by carrying your possessions to the front door lest he should trip up and hurt himself and it's you that end up in court!

For Hillaryforpresident
Please credit folk with some common sense!I'm sure nobody in their right mind would do what you are suggesting!!! How do you think the world coped before all this "pc" started! I really do not think we need Politicians telling us what to say and how to think. The majority of us were born with more common sense than you think. As for someone wishing me "Happy Holidays"...........I would be offended! Saying "Happy Holidays" is almost the same as denying Christmas exists.

Being PC is a load of guff and if we all adhere to it the world would be a very dull place with everyone doing all the same stuff, all human diversity would be lost and then we'd die out as a species as diversity is the key to sustainabilty.
Boy, that's a bit of an indepth question this close to crimbo! My head hurts.

It's an inane belief that minorities, women, homosexuals, etc, have such fragile psyches and esteem that they are unable to cope with any thought that they might perceive as offensive to them.

I suppose it is because so many people who support PC speech codes think that these subgroups are inferior to them, and unable to withstand ideas that are contrary to their world views.

It is especially heinous when they limit the free flow of ideas on university campuses, where open debate should be considered important.

Apparently its the new language that doesn't cause offence to anyone. Problem is more gets added to it daily so I guess in about a couple of years time we won't be able to say anything so we'll be living in a silent world.

Its a good idea gone badly wrong - typical politics really.

It is about people going so far out of their way not to offend someone that they are denying tradition and reality. And I personally don't care who the political correctness police are. The are just another unwanted group trying to tell us what to do and how to act. I ignore them.

I have a bit different view - PC is an attempt not ot offend anyone.
that however is very hard to do, any way the effort os made not ot use ignorant and offensive remarks toward any part of society or any group.
I do not think it is a burden

WAAAAAAAy back in the Olden days (1960's), there was this Great organization called the ACLU. Well, they fought the "system" to get minorities rights, and this was good.
They fought for fare child labor laws, and this was good.
They fought for the underdog and this was good.

Then, came the '80's and '90's.
There was no more"Just causes to fight for" any more.
they should have downsized or disbanned themselves.

but, Noooooooooo!

They had to become some left-wing nutso wacko group!
Hey! I was born a liberal and will die a liberal! But these gd wackos are waaaaaaaay out "there" and I wish they would stay there.
sexual harrassment from a 5 year old being a kid?
saying merry christmas offends?
take god off our money?
take any refence to god off federal buildings, property, money, etc?
come on!
I propose we outlaw the ACLU on the grounds that they are Treasonous to the USA.

think about how it would apply............

you will get it..........

take a deep breath............

think...........

Another way for the a-holes in government to get the votes from the so called minorities that are overcrowding us now, along with the f*gs and dykes also that want to be politically correctly identified. I still say a f*g is a f*g and a a-hole is an a-hole. Am I being politically correct ??????
PS: when you see who these jerks are that pass these idiotic laws they are usually one of the above mentioned too.

Political correctness is just a way of trying to erase racism and prejudice. The christians have blown it way out of proportion with the "happy holidays" vs "Merry Christmas" crap. It is not denying Christmas as a Christian Holiday to say Happy Holidays, it is merely a greeting to those whose religious affiliation you dont know. For instance, if you saw a rabbi would you wish him "merry Christmas" knowing that he does not celebrate Christmas? Of course not. It would be like someone wishing a christian "Happy whatever muslim holiday". I really dont think anyone takes offense at being wished either or any, it is a nice thought. Wish me whatever........and I will respond in kind.
