"Not with a bang, but a whimper."

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people. these are the things you will be seeing among people that will make u to be aware of the end of the word. after all this there will be a day the Jesus Christ will come back to the whole world to take (rapture) those who are not a sinner to heaven. Those who that will not be raptured will remain in the earth, one governor will rule over them and they will be forced to receive a mark called 666 before u can buy or do anything. Many things will happen in the end time bt what i can tell you is to be holy, and be free from whatever is called sin. If anyone should tell you the date and time the world will end, ,, know that it is not true. It's only God who knows.

Any religion's vengeful deity.
Ice caps melting and global flood.
Any and all celestial bodies crashing into Earth.
Sun exploding.
Humanity's self-eradication through global nuclear war.
I eat a REALLY gassy burrito and sit too close to a flame.

In other words, in any/every way you can imagine.

But, for the price of a dime, a slap on the face, and a bottle of hard liquor, a shady gypsy told me the end was already set in motion as people were atttempting to strap butter-side-up bread on the back of a cat and drop it. Just before the answer was discovered, the cat/toast stopped and hovered in mid-air and some higher lifeform said, " Do not temp fate by messing with the space-time continuum. It will destroy you. " at which point he was mistaken for a terrorist and gunned down, and his power on cat faded, and it landed cat-paws 1st. We were not meant to learn this and a rift was formed. Slowly, it is expanding, destroying reality as we know it, replacing it with Reality TV which is a paradoxal contradiction in itself, thus destroying reality even moreso. This will continue until it destroys us all.

Or it could be because Chuck Norris will roundhouse kick it into Oblivion. Whichever comes 1st.

We'll probably doom ourselves off before that planet killing asteroid hits us, before the consequences of global warming are in full swing, before the super volcanoes erupts and surely before our sun supernovas.

The detonation of tens of thousands of nuclear weapons that now sit quietly, inconspicuously, in missile silos, submarines and long-range bombers, faithful servants awaiting orders would bring the end of the human species.

The World Health Organization concludes that 1.1 billion people would be killed outright in such a nuclear war, mainly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. An additional 1.1 billion people would suffer serious injurles and radiation sickness. This would represent by far the greatest disaster in the history of the human species and, with no other adverse effects, would probably be enough to reduce at least the Northern Hemisphere to a state of prolonged agony and barbarism.

The nuclear winter that Carl Sagan spoke about would eventually spread to the Southern Hemisphere, killing all plant and animal life, and eventually mankind.

Are nukes good, the MAD doctrine kept us out of a nuclear war for 60 years, but now with rogue states and rogue leaders, the fallacy of the MAD doctrine is apparent. The weapons of peace for the last 60 years have now been turned to weapons of war. Once again we are staring into the black abyss of a nuclear holocaust.

Well, it's questionable as to how the human race will end (maybe nuclear war, maybe global warming, maybe disease or famine, maybe evolution), but the world itself will end in several billion years when the sun dies.

In chemistry and physics, the law states that matter can be changed from one state to another, but cannot be created, nor destroyed. Only a change in state.

If ALL of us continue to abuse our natural resources like now it will be finished quite quick. Maybe by an atomic bomb (the "strongest country" will win)!?
