It seems to me that all you would have to do is add an "adi" just after the "x" in cyclohexene. That should do it!

Same as Peter b.!Its by E2 mechanism that u can convert cyclohexene to cyclohexadiene.

Two steps required:
1) Cyclohexene + Br2 + N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) ----> 3-bromocyclohexene (bromine selectively adds at allylic position)
2) 3-bromocyclohexene + NaOCH2Ch3 + heat ----> cyclohexadiene (via an E2 rxn)
