It is very close to automatic if you use the mail merge function. One of the options there is to create an envelope, and it puts the return address and the mailing address all in the right places. It will even add the zebra code that the post office uses to automate (and therefore hopefully expedite) sorting of mail.
Use the mail merge wizard (or task pane with wizard hovering above it, mostly just looking cute) the first couple of times, until you get used to it. After that, the tools > mail merge [letters & mailings?] menu will do it more directly.

Open Microsoft Word. Go to tools-letters and Mailings- Envelopes an labels. Every thing will be done for you. If you have never used it try some help on it such that they give you more instructions
