school uniforms is a great idea. it takes the pressure off of kids whos parents cant afford name brand clothes. school is for learning, and leaning is easier if the kids dont have to worry so much about looking cool. theres plenty of time left in their lives to express themselves with clothes

Well, my daughter's Unified District says that the crimes in students have gotten lower due to the fact of school uniforms. This statement I believe because then kids don't have to worry about how they look with uniform and don't have to become so "worried" about what they are going to wear. Uniform is a privallege that kids need to appreciate because it is one step higher for them to have a higher education.

I agree with you but some school uniforms go over the top aka in my school girls have to wear ties! It also helps on school trips, if a child is lost they are easily recognized by the public because of their school uniform.

well i'm opposed to school uniforms. i guess that's cuz i'm a teen? i mean, where's the diversity if it's uniforms? it gets boring to see the same people wear the same things every single day. and you don't get to see people's sense of fashion, and you lose that fashion fun yourself. it's just not as fun.
one good thing about uniforms though... you dont have to search for clothes every morning :-D

I agree with you and to add to this,my opinion is that the whole country should have one uniform for all Primary Schools and one for all Secondary schools.

The main purpose is discipline.
Uniformity- Every one will look similar.
The children will not get lost, they will be amongst the children.
Their thought process will not be based on comparing the dresses but maintaining the schools disciplines and education.
They can concentrate on their plays & extra curricular activities & studies

yeah, they push aside their differences in attire and would replace that with judgmenting appearances. it could prepare them for jobs and also jail but either way it prepares them for the future.
