Read the book The Mayan Prophecies" by Adrien Gilbert and Maurice Cotterell. There is a specific chapter on what will happen and it explains why. This book also gives the mathmatical formulas that led up to these predictions.

Yes a lot, it will start, it will have a middle, and an end, why do people worry about the end, it's a better place than this, and we can't stop it, but it won't end on this date, at least not for all of us, for some the last day is every day

Yes, we will all be doing what we usually do at that time of year, running around like headless chickens preparing for Christmas!! I don't suppose this will change in the next 6 years!

Well it will be the winter solstice, the day before my birthday, oh and I think the world is supposed to end that day too, guess we'll all just have to wait and see, have a lovely Christmas though.

probably the same as today - some of us will go to work, some of us will have the day off due to annual leave (use it or lose it)..
but nearly all of us will have buying christmas presents cross our mind at least once...

If you mean that it's a palindrome (reads the same backwards and forwards) then you're mistaken.
21122012 reads backwards as 21022112. If you don't mean that, then I don't know what the h*** you mean! Happy Christmas.
