I have enough of being lazy after my last job laid me off, I can't get another job because of my criminal record (waiting to get it expunged) and I am still living with my parent so I don't have any bills or anything to worry about, I really want to work but all the work place I went to do not hire a convict felon! I need some advice on what should I do everyday than staying home all day and waste my life.
Thanks for reading and answering

Every community has unfulfilled needs for volunteers in all sorts of activities. Getting involved in such volunteer activities will bring you into contact with many people. If they come to appreciate you as a person (dependent on you) jobs will become available.

One way to start is to volunteer. Tell the truth about your record, though, if their application asks or the interviewer asks. If neither does, consider volunteering this information so there are no nasty surprises or rumors down the line to poison your involvement there. .

Volunteering will help give your mind a break from your troubles, help someone else who really needs you, and it is also very possible that you can get hired when you show that you are a decent and trustworthy person despite your record.

People who get to know you in this way over time may also be very willing to give you a good reference when you apply for other jobs if nothing becomes available at your volunteer job.

Also check, if you live in a moderate to big city or there is one nearby, organizations that help ex-felons with job leads, resume help, etc.

Whatever you do, use your time wisely even though you're waiting for your record to be expunged and it won't be wasted time, you'll be less likely to be discouraged and depressed over the long haul--which will also help to keep you clear of recurrent trouble. As well, the person who suggested starting your own business I think is a good idea.
