Help me clever people!! My SPV M3100 doesnt find my memory card - and for a fact my card works?

Question

I put the memory card into my phone and it doesnt recognise that it has it in. Sometimes it does... and sometimes it works fine... then othertimes its a right old pain.

Another problem is that sometimes when I "Update" the library it finds the files... all of them and then it freezes up when it comes to add them onto the phone.

Please help me, I am not very technological...

if you have a card reader** connect it and memory card to computer

then right click the icon in 'my computer' select format, FAT, (ignore fat32 and Quick format).. then try it again in your phone
