my baby daddy hasn't filed the divorce papers and he says that he is filing it and waiting for a respond, which i don't believe him. why hasn't he filed it?

I assume that when you say "My baby daddy" means that he is not your husband or you would have said it that way. Which means that he is married to someone else. Is he a daddy to someone else's baby??? Maybe he used you and now you will suffer the consequences. Good luck with that

if paperwork is filed in court---the defendant has 30 days to respond. Matters filed in court are a matter of public record and if you want to make sure they've really been filed. Check at your local county clerks office and verify the information your boyfriend is providing.

Why are you lowering yourself to that? He not going to file them. So just get yourself prepared to raise your baby solo. I know because I went through the same thing last year. And he still has never filed for divorce or even got separated from his wife. Leave him alone and find yourself someone who is SINGLE and will love you and your baby. Good Luck.
