I has annouced that he will retire after the last Ashes Test. Not liked by many, but I believe he was one of the greatest spin bowlers to walk the planet.

I don't think that there is anything to actually dislike about Shane Warne.
He has been, and still is, an extremely good cricketer, both as a bowler and as a batsman; but he has also become a total pratt of a person in his latter years

A truly great bowler (and often a useful batsman too) for both Australia and Hampshire - and although he was never less than fiercely competitive, and opposing fans enjoyed barracking him about his weight, women or hair, I don't think many true cricket lovers actually disliked him, even we English, whom he caused so much pain :-)

It's a privilege to have seen him bowl.

Warne has announced retirement for ALL Cricket except the remainder of county cricket and playing for Hampshire. Look Warne was the 'Spin King' and nobody can doubt that. All admire him and many attempt at being the next warne. I bowl spin thanks to him and all who want to play cricket and pace bowling isn't ideal for you than bowl spin. It is great for slow and effective chance at wickets. Its a pity he has retired but we'll keep him in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
