Depending on what car you have, you may have to reprogram the remotes even after changing the battery. If it's a Chevy/GMC/Pontiac make, then go to your car, stand outside it and press both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time, and hold for a few seconds. That will reprogram the remote.
If that doesn't work, just call the dealership up, and talk to someone about it.
Good luck!

Lets just say that the transmitter is in working order as is the reciever in the car.

Some manufacturers require that the transmitter be reset to the car after changing batteries.
Fiat requires that the driver's door be unlocked with that transmitters key
Some Mercedes you have to turn the ignition on while pressing the remote buttons.

Talk to a technician at a dealership. They should tell you, for free, if you need to reset the transmitter somehow.

Happy Holidays

either your key-fob rf transmitter is broken or the rf receiver in the door is. check to make sure power is getting to your door receiver - maybe the breaker tripped for the circuit your door is on, and since it might be the only thing attached to that particular breaker you haven't noticed.

I would say the computer chip in the device is broken. Ring the company you purchased it from and have it replaced.
