No not possible if you are a bit aware.
Typically, the villain would spill a few drops from a small bottle onto a handkerchief, and then sneak up behind the victim. When the handkerchief was clamped tightly over the mouth of the victim, there would be a brief struggle before the victim slumped into unconsciousness. After-effects were usually limited to a brief headache. IN REALITY, a dose FAR GREATER than a FEW DROPS inhaled over a short while would be REQUIRED to KNOCK somebody out. Such a dose could also be lethal. The chloroform's effect to knock someone out would not be instantaneous.

The narcotic effects of chloroform are grossly exaggerated in popular culture. It's a crude anaesthetic and although it was used extensively during surgery in the past it was only because nothing better was then available. Its availability is now limited as it has been linked to human cancers and safer substitute solvents are now used in the chemical industry. I doubt that you could be drugged without being aware of it, even if asleep. Assuming of course that anyone would want to do it!
Stop worrying. It ain't gonna happen!

Yes, though I doubt that any criminal would bother. If their intent is to drag you off somewhere to do... whatever, they'll probably just hit you on the head with something so you won't wake up in the process of them grabbing you. I don't imagine chloroform is easily attainable, though I could be wrong about that.

I don't know if you could knock out Kong like they did in the movie, but Chloroform will definitely make people unconcious. For decades, it was the anesthetic of choice for surgery.

yes its true because chloroform contain :
Chloroform, also known as trichloromethane and methyl yes trichloride, is a chemical compound with formula CHCl3. It does not support combustion in air, although it will burn when mixed with more flammable substances. It is a member of a subset of environmental pollutants known as trihalomethanes, a by-product of chlorination of drinking water and a long-standing health concern.

I don't know for sure, but the reason the victim seems to almost instantaneously lose consciousness is because they instictively deeply inhale when it's put over their mouth because of the surprise. If you weren't being surprised and you had no clue it was happening you wouldn't do this so the effect would take longer as you breathe differently while you sleep.
Hope I was helpful!

OK, this may sound a bit out of the ordinary, but I'm kind of curious when it comes to trying out new things. My former boyfriend and I, we used chloro once.(he's dad works at a big hospital..). A kind of erotic role play I might add. We also used a DV-cam - we're into that. I can tell you that I hadn't a clue what happened after I passed out. Unfortunately we had the cam...
So let me tell you: Chloro isn't something you mess around with.
Trust me, I went totally blank. /E87
