pls advise on where i could purchase at a High St store as it's an early pressie for her, so can't buy online (ie. Dixons, J Lewis, Tescos etc) I know i'll get a better offer from the Net but i don't have time to hang around.

The new sports Sony Walkman is fantastic. To shuffle you shake the player! Comes in silver, pink or black and accepts all different music formats: ATRAC, MP3, WMA non DRM and AAC non DRM formats. Sony NWS202 512MB Sports MP3 Walkman - Silver/Black/Pink without FM radio is currently reduced to £46.89 at Argos.

As Sony have just brought out a new player you can get their old style MP3 players for excellent prices.

Sony NWE003FBC 1GB MP3 Player with FM Tuner - Black - £59.98 (Argos)
Sony NWE005SC 2GB Silver MP3 Player. £49.99 - half-price (Argos).

There are some great deals about at the moment.

Just read you update! For a 15 year-old girl I'd reserve online at Argos and get either the:
Sony NWE005PC 2GB Pink MP3 Player - half price at £49.99 or Creative ZEN V 1GB MP3 Player reduced to £69.99. The Sony one has more capacity, is pink and tiny (really cute). The battery life is excellent to. The Creative Zen has a colour screen and has lower capacity.

Hope that's helpful!

I'd have to say the Creative Zen V Plus (£68 from Amazon) - because I'm hoping to get one for Christmas!

----

The Zen V (not V Plus - so doesn't have FM radio) with 1Gb of storage is available at both Comet and Currys for £70 (give or take a penny). Currys have a "reserve and collect" service so you can use the internet to get them to hold one at your local store and pick it up later knowing it's in stock.

If you really want the Sony, Comet have the 1GB in stock for £60, but are charging £80 for the 2GB (and only available in purple, not pink)
