You don't say how big a present-but try your local $1.00 store( the cheap store in your area.)They usually have a good supply of boxes.Xmas tins are nice too;who says it must be a paper container.Boxes ;bags and fancy mason jars all make good containers.I've even used Tupperware to mail a gift-knowing that my friend needed some.Let your mind wander, and you'll think of lots of things to hold your gift.

When I need nice boxes in which to put my gifts, I try a craft shop, like Michael's or JoAnn's. They have loads of beautiful boxes (decorative and plain) that you can use as is, or embellish in your own way.

Good luck!
