Well, it certainly has not been the US government if that is what you are implying. We have spent upwards of a trillion dollars since 9/11 between recovery costs at the crash sites, cleanup. The stock market crashing after 9/11. The costs of implementing the War on Terror here in the US and abroad. Which led to the War in Iraq. Investing hundreds of billions of dollars into rebuilding Iraq. Invading Afghanistan, rebuilding parts of Afghanistan.

The terrorists benefited from what I can see. They accomplished exactly what they wanted to.

And we continue to hand them victories all the time by the way we are bickering with each other because people continue to try and put the blame everywhere but where it should be with the terrorists.

No doubt someone will come along and say we did. After all it was for the oil and Haliburton. It is just absurd to believe that.
