A friend of mine was wondering if you can actually make water without the use of liquids?

Yeeesss!

But its difficult to get the equipment.
Its risky too.
u will need H2 gas cylinder , oxygen cylinder or simply air.
Burning hydrogen( combustion) gives water vapour.

2H2(g) + O2(g)--------> 2H2O (g)

better u can use a hydrogen-oxygen welding kit to get water vapour. But its difficult to get hold of the vapour.
Condensation of water vapour gives u water.

Yes you can and it is not difficult at all. It used to be a standard chemistry demonstration when I was at school. A stream of dry hydrogen gas (from a gas cylinder or chemically generated) is set alight and the flame is played onto the outside spherical surface of a round bottom flask. The flask is filled with cold water and kept cold by circulating the water in and out of the flask. There is NO contact between this water and the outside of the flask. As the hydrogen burns using the oxygen in the air water will be formed and condense on the outside of the flask.

U cant make water without hydrogen and oxygen cause when those 2 combine in a reaction it makes water.
U cant actually make water all u can do is just asseblme the atoms needed for water to make it eg. like cooking, u use ingredients to make sumthing and without a vital ingredient the whole process doesnt work.

Yes you can. All you need to do is burn hydrogen in the presence of oxygen and you'll get H2O - However I wouldnt recommend you do it in your home because water is a very stable molecule - its bonds are very energy efficient and therefore making water releases a huge amount of energy.

In fact burning hydrogen with oxygen is how NASA's huge rockets get out of the Earth's atmosphere so when we say burning dont think of a small flame over a bunsen burner - think of a huge explosion!

Two parts of Hydrogen to one part of oxygen will create water, but it is very difficult and dangerous to do wihout the proper equipment. I would advise against trying.

Turn on your gas ring and put something cold above it. Water from the flame will condense on it, as water is one of the products of combustion of natural gas.

I'm not a science type but i guess you can use vapours/steam and go from there. Thinking about it if water is H2O the hydrogen gas when released into the air should form water?

1. You can extract water from the desert were there appears to be no water - very simple.
2. You can try and mix hydrogen and oxygen via reverse electrolosis - very difficult.
Other than that ????

YES. Water is a byproduct in many chemical reactions. Water is made when you burn alcohol which is why it is such a friendly thing to run cars on. Burning propane also produces water as ash. You would then have to condense it out of its gaseous form.
