No, i don't. I only drink when i have fun, and allthough i very much enjoy social drinking, makes a good mood even better, i absolutely don't need it to socialize. Ofcourse alkohol makes us hesitate less, that's propably what u mean, but still no, i don't use it this way, it' s exactly when i m shy or nervous or in a stressing situation that i would hate to lose control. Also, i don't like drinking when i m in a bad mood. When i m sad it makes me sader and when i m truly bored it mostly makes me tired.

I used to use Irish courage, then I figured out I had a drinking problem instead of a shyness problem. All things considered it was easier to get over the shyness than the alcoholism.

yea but the more you use alcohol the more used to it you get and the less foolish stuff you do on it. thats why i believe the dranking age should be lowered in the u.s. like it is in europe. hell if not 16, at least 18! you dont have to act like a goddamn fool to enjoy alcohol, although there is a different enjoyment those get from acting a fool, its not as ultimately satisfying as simply enjoying the drink, socializing, and acting in otherwords like a responsible adult and easing off some pent up tension. if you can do the above three mentioned things (or at the least, act responsible and respectful to people) then i believe at most an 18 year old should have a right to drink his brains out, or have a shot of vodka or anything in between, as he sees fit.

its alright for grown men ages 21-100+ to go to a bar after an aggravating day of work and drink it away, and that should be fine as long as there is a designated driver or they get a taxi or public transportation or something and dont act a fool. i do not appreciate living in a society, where at the age of 18, without even a car to drunk drive because of the corrupt insurance companies ($850 for 6 months of insurance? **** that im keeping my hard earned money) i cant go to a bar and drink to loosen up my muscles and ease my anxiety out.

i dont have $60 for a good massage every day, and other things i dont have the money for or dont agree with taking, or it doesnt work good enough for me, or i would otherwise prefer alcohol. i want to enjoy playing a game of darts with some people at the bar and socializing, maybe a game of pool and a run on the slot machine or something too :(

and the thing of it is, i can still get alcohol if i want it, but when i do i have to treat it like a precious metal, and then you have (underage) people who drink it as fast as they can trying to get all the pleasure at once because either/or a. they're not experienced at controlling it, and/or b. they could control it if they otherwise had easy access to it, but choose to instead get a bunch of pleasure all at once (tore up from the floor up) because its so risque and unique and rare....

Alcohol is often used to cover up, or sometimes comfortably expose, many things-shyness being one. But using alcohol in that manner only "works" for awhile and then things fall apart. And just why is it that you want to "cover up" your shyness anyway???? Try going to an A.A. meeting (it's free) and share these thoughts of yours with someone.

alcohol, well no one can deny that at some stage they've made a fool of themselves because of it...hehehe, that's why i reckon shyness can be lowered TEMPORARILY with alcohol....but it's not that you're going to remain drunk forever, maybe use it to kick start the process but as you advance stop using alcohol, and no worries mate, being shy is something way easier to get over than alcoholism

Oh ya I totally do! Normally when I am around a lot of people I just keep to myself, barely saying a word. If I'm drinking it's a different story! I dance and hug people! I love vodka....

This is totally nuts!Alcohol makes you loud and foolish and you do things would not do when sober.Something was wrong with this guy,I mean the fact that he needs something to stimulate him in order to face his fears, that's just sick.Period.
