Ok I'm in a high school band class... I just finished my first semester of it and so far i have played trumpet, bass drum, quads, and french horn... do you think i'd get my band director would allow me to change... i hate french horn it sounds really weird

Are you crazy? The French Horn makes one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard. It's so clear and strong, and it's just the right pitch!
If I were going to be in a school band I'd either want to play french horn or percussion.

Why don't you try the Saxophone, it is very groovy...
When you are older, you can always join all kind of bands as it enhances every kind of music!
