Re: cat -- I am reminded of "Confessions of a Raving, Unconfined Nut," a memoir by rebel satirist and publisher Paul Krassner. He tells of a neighbor who had a cat with a square black patch under its nose, of course named after der Fuhrer. The cat got lost, and he recalls the image of neighborhood children roaming through the streets yelling, "Hitler! Come back, Hitler!"
