lol Generally, no - there were some totally butch angels - I mean, look at Michael - demon-wrestler extraordinaire. Only time I'd get annoyed at being called Angel is if it was by a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, cos being compared to the wussy soul-afflicted "pity me, I'm cursed" vampire from that show would REALLY suck...

It doesn't matter what we think. If your boyfriend doesn't like it than it's not o.k. I had this problem in my past marriage. My ex would make a statement (joke) that I found to be rude towards me...rather than not continue to make statements as he did, he would turn it on me and say "get a sense of humor" or " that shouldn't bother you ". I'm now peacefully divorced and don't have to listen to statements as those anymore. If you continue doing something to someone that they don't care for, it's a form of control and bullying.

He should call you angel, don't know why but it sound soft, kind of gaily and maybe that's why he doesn't want to be called that way.Call him like someone strong or word that associates to strength

I can see why ur bf doesnt like that. 'Angel' is kinda a girl thing. Its a very soft expression of feminism. Kinda like girls dont really wanna be called 'dude' or 'stud'

well i wouldn't mind, but if you respect him why would you continue to call him something he dislikes? maybe he thinks it's feminine or he knew somebody named that, either way, stop calling him that. pick another nickname, or pick another boyfriend.
