Yes I am celebrating the solstice on Friday Night. We are having mulled wine, a fine dinner and a Balefire in the garden with music and dancing.
I celebrate the solstice instead of christmas on acount of being a Pagan Hedgewitch.
Blesssed Be!

Just about everyone is. Actually that's what Christmas is, a celebration of the Winter Solstice in disguise, and there are countless other celebrations for it...as for me, no i'm not celebrating.

It is worth celebrating, now the days are going to start getting longer again, and soon it will be summer, and only 6 months today until my birthday on the summer solstice.

We certainly are. Bringing in the tree on the 21st!! It's exciting.
Christians shold celebrate xmas as it is part of their faith. We celebrate Yule and the forthcoming lighter days as part of our Wiccan religion.
To all the Pagans and Wiccans out there - Blessed be!
