All of my family's 3rd generation (including me) have not been married yet, or are in no rush to marry. Those that are married waited til their 30's to get hitched, yet our parents and grandparent's family units were complete by roughly age 24!

With the growing number of professional jobs, as well as the increase of female workers, young people nowadays are holding off marriage/starting a family until they have established their careers.

Yeah, I've noticed this trend. My older brothers (two of whom are 28 and 25) are unmarried and not very close settling down...but neither are they close to having a stable job....

But anyway, it's a trend that I've enjoyed seeing. Marriage is something that shouldn't be rushed into.

Yes this is because it is now acceptable to have sex outside of marriage so most are waiting until they find the right one but not waiting to have sex with who they already have. Plus life spans have increased.

lol... i was married, i waited until i was in my 30's to divorce.. does this count.?
every generation is different, their goals, there feelings in life... who knows maybe the all know the secret of life?

And fewer kids too.
Some don't even want to consider to have children.
