Now one knows for sure but there are many theories. All matter and even light can not escape the gravitational force of the hole. Dark matter I'm not sure about, and even so the existence of dark matter is still theory. So any effect upon it would also be theory. It has been found that time can be slowed down with in an object that moves faster. This Einstein theory was tested by placing a atomic clock in a jet airplane and a other synchronized atomic clock in a stationary place. A slight time difference was discovered. With this in mind and the extreme speed that would result in entering a black hole, many believe them to be a worm hole to a other time. I believe they may also have something to do with the balance of energy within are universe and that they prevent the "collapse theory" from ever happening.

anyo bjects in a gravitational field experience a slowing down of time, called time dilation.near the a black hole), the time dilation increases rapidly.
from the viewpoint of a distant observer, an object falling into a black hole appears to slow down, approaching but never quite reaching the event horizon(the "surface" of a black hole is the so-called event horizon, an imaginary surface surrounding the mass of the black hole)as the object falls into the black hole,.

from the viewpoint of the falling object, nothing particularly special happens at the event horizon. che object crosses the event horizon and reaches the singularity at the center within a finite amount of time, as measured by a watch carried with the falling observer.

Black hole is a region of intense gravitational force, it can engulf stars or any object passing near to it, even light cannot escape from its area.the speed of matter in a black hole is greater than the speed of light i.e.300000KM/S. and at such high speeds time changes. According to Einstein theory of relativity an object which moves greater than speed of light experiences time dilation. For example If you spend 1 year in space travelling at a speed greater than light ,then when u return to earth 15 years would have passed, same is the case in black,as it depends how fast an object moving in a black hole.

Time is warped in a black hole. A day in a black hole could just be a second or several millenia. Space and time are bent to the extreme in a black hole.

If a black hole could exist time would have to reverse in a black hole[run backwards]

Look Time is that which is measure by the distance covered by light. Meance TIME passed by the light to travel distance of 3*10^8 meters we call that TIME as 1 second. As there is no travel of light in black holes the concept of time is not applicable.
