If you bought it off ebay where it was advertised as being real then you are entitiled to your money back. Report this to ebay and get a refund!

If the girls at Channel cant tell its fake take it back!!
If you bought of ebay and it was selling as an authentic Chanel then you can report the seller and ask for your money back and $700 is a lot for a fake so contact Ebay cos they are really trying to stop that kind of thing happening!!

Hi,
why on earth did you want to pay for a dubious 'designer' handbag anyway? These scams on eBay and other auction sites are so rarely genuine that I'm surprised to hear you paid so much.
The short answer is, of course, that you could not sell honestly by describing your item as genuine, as you now know it isn't. I fully appreciate how useless the eBay 'guarantee' is, but although the item is out of their responsibility the seller of this item is still a criminal.
Report this transaction to the trading Standards Officer, or the police, in your own country (I think the USA), giving them all the details you have of the seller's name, address, PayPal accounts, etc. Although eBay and PayPal say the time is up and will not give you the information (or protection) you need they DO have to give it to the police if the police request it.
The police, especially if you have full details, will be delighted to act for you, and though you may not get back all your money you will have the satisfaction of seeing this seller face the legal consequences of their fraud. Once the seller has been prosecuted through the courts it should be easy to get a private/civil court action against the seller to have a court order against them for them to make restitution for your losses.
Please don't try to sell the bag as genuine on any other auction site as you will then be no better than the person who sold it to you. I know you say you need the money, but if you were rich enough to pay $700 for a bag in the first place you are rich enough to bear the cost of this expensive lesson in gullibility. One thing's for sure, you won't be easy to trick a second time, will you?
I'm sorry you were duped, you are in good company despite the legions of information telling us about these scam merchants who prowl on eBay and other sites.
Have a great Christmas time anyway and enjoy the rest of your life, a little poorer, a little wiser (hopefully) and a whole lot more suspicious when it comes to bargains on eBay...
Cheers,
BobSpain
