The questioner has not answered their own question...their facts are moe than a bit off.

Johnson was sworn in as President on Air Force One in Dallas at Love Field Airport after the assassination of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963. He was sworn in by Federal Judge Sarah T. Hughes, a very close friend of his family, making him the first President sworn in by a woman.

I will add that VP Johnson and his wife had been in themotorcade with the Kennedys and the Connallys, but in a separate car.

I believe he was sworn in before Kennedy actually died, this however would be standard procedure since the President at the time was incapacitated, so the Vice-President would be sworn in as acting President. Kennedy dying however, made Lyndon Johnson president for until the end of Kennedy's term, instead of just until he was able to serve again.

Why did you ask? I know that's a question but it's the only possible response. Sorry, I could say you are quite correct.
