If the weather forecast is to be believed, no snow this year

Hello,

Answer is, looking at the current wheather forecast for UK & Ireland then its got to be definately No!!. The chances are small in my opinion.

Why? because at the moment a high pressure system is sitting over the top of the UK & Ireland. This means slow moving or very slow moving air conditions (hence ALL the fog problems). But it also means little or no cloud and no cloud means low water vapour or moisture content.

**Conditions for snow are quite specific, cold or very cold air generally in the UK & Ireland this means air flows from the North or from a Northern direction such as from the Artic or from Scandinavia. High water vapour content and a temperature of precisely 3 degrees and usually with wind.

**Most of Ireland & UK wheather tends on the whole to come from wheather systems which come in off the Atlantic ocean and from a western or south western direction, usually anti cyclones which bring wind & rain.

Unless the wheather, pressure & wind direction was to take a dramatic change in the next few days (it is possible of course) then high pressure looks set to domainate for the next 3-5 days by the look of it. So snow is highly unlikely in Ireland more likely would be rain & cloud though.
