Just moved to Houston last Month from SanFran and need a Job at night. I work as a cocktail waitress at a social bar, its my job to be flirtatious. Problem is some guys take this too far. Already I have guys bringing flowers and embarrassing me at work. Some guys are cool they know I’m at work. How do you tell the difference? Its not like I give out my # or touch anybody. 糞 !!!

I would ask another waitress you trust if you're being overly flirtatious. Hopefully you could ask someone that could provide an honest answer and at least to help give you an idea of how you come off.
It sounds harmless, but beings that you work in a place where people go to get loaded, you might want to tone it down a bit just to keep yourself safe. You also might want to make sure what you are wearing isn't sending a signal. If its a uniform maybe you could get creative in toning it down a bit to better suit your style since you have to be flirtatious.
Also, maybe you can find some reading material on how to be flirtatious without inviting guys into your personal space. I'm not sure on that one but it's worth a shot!

It is possible to be friendly and pleasant without flirting.
Flirting is a very childish thing that young teenagers do, particularly when there is someone they are attracted to.
Meaningless flirting is silly. "Meaninful" flirting means something. People who are adults usually don't want to engage in the silly kind of flirting, and they know better than to engage in the kind of flirting that means something.
I think you ought to be a friendly, sociable, individual; but have a little dignity and don't flirt with "whoever" when you're not interested in them.
Sorry for the "lecture" type of thing, but I'd like see cocktail waitresses taken a little more seriously and seen in a more respectable light than a bar who expects them to be flirtatious apparently does.

you just have to pick the right people to flirt with. flirting is absolutely ok until u take anything seriously. Read the audiance!

act the same way with his fiend or friends so he knows that its something you do with everybody
