Elderly mom is concerned about my brother who is 37 on drugs and despirate. He has gone to her bank. Charter one 103 Vincines, Chicago and charmed the male teller into adding his name, then he wiped out her life savings in three months. He has been banned. She wants to make a will to exclude him. Is there a way to do this on her own.

A will is a legal binding document even if written on a dirty napkin and signed by the person. HOwever, most people do follow a legal process to ensure that everything is taken care of.

However, you say your brother added his name to ther account and wiped out her savings. He CAN'T do that and who ever let him do that should be charged. Only the person who's account it is can change it.

Anyways, she can do whatever she wants for her will and no one can make her do anything else.

Let your mother execute a will, then have it notarized by a lawyer to make it a valid will.
