make sure your water tank is turned up. It could also be the pipes. Do you have cooper pipes?

Hot water builds up minerals inside the pipe over time and will completely stop the flow if left unchecked. You need a plumber there to fix the problem. If your house is on a concrete slab and the pipes are in the slab, you need to reverse the flow of water inside the pipe and allow it to run in reverse for several minutes under a good pressure. Usually you will have a large bucket near the hot water tank to catch the flow and what comes out of the pipe. If that doesn't work, then your plumber can insert a 3/8 inch flex line inside the existing pipe and fix it that way. You'll never see the difference in volume and the pressure will be great. That's all if you can't replace the hot water pipe without a lot of trouble. Usually the reverse flow will repair the problem for a while.

KISS. keep it simple stu***, first don't panic. how is the hot water at the bathroom sink? if you have good hot water there, then start with the shower faucet because you are getting hot water to the bathroom. it could be as simple as a bad washer or 'o' ring in it. how old is it? is it time to replace it? can you fix that or do you need a plumber? if the faucet is old and is not one of the new pressure balanced types it might just be a good idea to up grade. no more "freeze" when somebody flushes. they are real nice to have! hope this helps you and happy holidays!

There is some sort of debris in the faucet. This is a common problem. It depends on the type of faucet you have, as to how to fix the problem. I would call several local plumbers, and ask what the charge would be , before they come out. If you are a do it yourselfer, look for the name of the faucet, and get a book on how to repair it. Most faucets now have a cartridge that can be removed, and the obstruction can be flushed out . Good luck to you!

It sounds like a clogged water line. Your best bet would be to contact a plumber to investigate this as this could be very easy or difficult to fix . the water line may have to be replaced so depending on your ability would be the factor if you do it or get a plumber. One idea to save yourself some money is if you where there is some home construction going on you may drive thru it looking for a plumbing truck and find the plumber and see if he would be interested in a side job. Good luck and Merry Christmas

Take off the faucet itself and have a look. If it's clear it's my bet you have an older home, the pipes are old, you have hard water. If you've answered "yes" to all of these then it's me bet you have clogged lines from Calcification. My own lines were so clogged, after forty years, you couldn't put a lead from a pencil into the hot water line. I had to changed all my lines to copper.

Something may be blocking it such as hard water deposits in the line, or someone turning down the faucet on the hot water heater...children? A leak in the line, but you should see water damage if that is the case.

You may have a lot of calcium build up in the Faust or shower head nasal, you can buy some cleaners to remove that.
