The Danish royals. I remember catching some of the wedding of Prince Frederick a couple of years ago when he married his Australian Bride, and he was crying when he saw her walking down the aisle towards him.
His parents seemed so genuinely happy to see both their sons happily married to women they chose for themselves. There was none of the snobbery associated with the British royal family. His mother didn't expect all the attention to be on herself, was quite happy to be on the sidelines throughout the ceremony.
And when the royals began arriving at the church it was just so sweet that they still had throngs of well wishers waiting to see them but without all the armoured cars and police escorts. It just seemed like a nice family wedding. Plus Prince Frederick is very easy on the eye :)

As far as current houses, I think the Danes have it right. I of course have a famillial interest in the Windsors, as we share some common ancestors, but the Danish royal family seem to have the whole thing right.
now, historical houses that fascinate me are of course the Tudors and the Hapsburgs... and of course the poor Romanovs (not thier fault Nikolas was an inept idiot- that's no reason to kill his entire family!)

The British for Prince William and the Swedish for Princess Victoria and Prince Madeline (in 2nd). But the British because I really love Prince William.

Lawn Gnome are your really stupid there? Luxembourg is a Duchy. The royal family I like is the Grimaldi of Monaco. They the best looking royal family.

The Dutch...they are a very down to earth family, who live relatively normal lives including having jobs...not a massive drain on the tax payer...and great ambassadors for The Netherlands.
