Smoking is injurious to your health and you should quit...However the chances of you dying from it falls in the same line of winning your local lottery...By no mean am I for smoking and I don't smoke myself....Yet I am over weight and I can not obtain life insurance because of this...Smokers on the other hand can obtain insurance, just at a higher rate...Therefore, insurance companies believe I have a better chance dying due a Big Mac than someone smoking a pack a day...

Cold Turkey is the best way to stop smoking...

Your "cravings" only last a few minutes... All you have to do, is say, "I can wait another minute for a ciggarrette"... and keep doing that, and 'dont' take the ciggarrette when its over...

After 10 days, the nicotine is gone from your system... But, it may take a lot longer for the "mind" to give up the ciggarrettes...

A good thing to do, is get a straw...and some red lipstick. Now, every time you "need" a ciggarrette, suck on the straw and the red lipstick ring at the top will remind you of a ciggarrette and give you a "small" comfort...so that you can quit!

(A buddy of mine did this at the hospital, when he wasnt allowed to smoke, the nurse made it up for him and he was able to quit...Silly idiot decided to smoke a year afterwards...and a few years after that... it ate his main arteries out from both legs!!!).

I wish you well..

Yes. I think you know this answer already. Definitely, this has been the major cause of human lung cancer. Many dies around the age of 50 's or 60's. If you really want to stop, it is a matter of disciplining yourself. Then you can try the nicotine patch, this often works. You can buy this in Pharmacies. There are also many other option, many you can ask your doctor.

Smoking is REALLY injurious. Notice that warning label on the cigarette box ? and it's not cool to light one, in fact stupid. I ' ve been smoking for 20 over years and it really takes quite some effort to quit being its slave.
