I downloaded a Xmas Cat gif file where the cat wags its tail (really cute), but want to change the collar with a heart to a star (so it's more appropriate to send to people like my manager!).

But after I modify the gif file in Paint or Microsoft Photo Editor, the gif file becomes still image only. How can I modify an animated gif file and retain its animation?

Thanks so far. (But those links from thedeath don't work). I tried two real gif editors, and they all muck up the final animation to force me to pay like USD$30 to register! Does anyone know a free animated gif editor that won't do this?

Hi!

You need to use a real GIF Editor (try searching for this) or Animated GIF Editor :)

Good luck!
