Can you mod the wii to make it region free? If I buy the German one can I play U.S. games on it? Does the wii have 110-240 volts for power?

I read on the nintendo power magazine that it does have region restrictions, but they do admit that if you are a good enough hacker you can get around it. Are you a good enough hacker???
