Is he benched for this season? Are they going to trade him?

I understand benching Bledsoe since the Cowboys were losing, but the Broncos weren't doing "that bad." ~~

I can't imagine any team trading for Jake Plummer. While I think he's a solid QB and is (currently) better than Jay Cutler, it's a buyers market and no team will give even a 4th round pick for him. He's being paid like a starting QB, and there isn't a team in the NFL who will take on his current contract. The Broncos will release him in the offseason, and he will sign somewhere he can compete for a starting job.

I can think of 9 or 10 teams who would be interested in him, that's 1/3 of the league. He would probably have the most success in Jacksonville, though I could see him backing up Tony Romo in Dallas as well.

I don't see where this Oakland talk comes from--Art Shell gambled and lost on Aaron Brooks, who is a similar type of player, but much worse. I can't see him taking the same chance on Plummer.

They benched Jake at the wrong time. They may still make they playoffs and he does make some bonehead plays but he still has a good record with the broncos. I will say Cutler has a great arm and will be a good QB. Jake will get traded to were I don't know .

Plummer is retired to his farm in Utah. He married his female friend an X-Bronco cheerleader and is severe at the same time as he says he has NO purpose of ever taking section in football back. good for Jake

The same thing that will happen to Drew Bledsoe, he will compete for the starting job next year, not make it, serve as a backup for a year then demand a trade.

I doubt if Plummer will accept being the backup in Denver so I suspect they'll release him and he'll check out the free agant market. There are teams looking for a veteran starting QB so he'll land a job somewhere.

I think the writring was on the wall for Jake and Coach Shanahan finally gave in and let Cutler play.

Maybe they will trade him to Oakland for Warren Sapp so Sapp and John Lyhch can be together again as they were in Tampa Bay. Oakland is building and they could use a veteran QB.

Can't you admit that Jay Cutler is doing a better job though?

There are no guaranteed contracts in the NFL so he can get cut at any time. I feel it's too early to do that anyway.
