How would you rate the U.N. and should we continue to be a member to effect change from within or just quit now, and cut our losses ??

Role of UN in the world is that Americans could justify their act across the globe.
For instance, anything in the interest of America or Israel would be approved very easily, some for European too, but any other country like crying of Chechnya, Iran, Palestine Lebanon, Kashmir and many other places nothing more than waste of time.

The UN functions fine, it is rogue nations who start unsupported wars for weapons of mass destruction that were never found that are the problem. If only countries would listen to the advice of the UN it would succeed.

The UN is a great organization that needs some serious reforms and anti-corruption practices.
An international organization for the purpose of preserving peace is essential in these times.

UN is awesome. Needs a makeover....just some tweezing here and there. Give less power to certain countries...so JUST resolutions can be passed.

I think we have a responsibility to the world, being a Superpower and all, so I believe that we need to stay in it, as useless as it is.
However, it should be lathered, rinsed, and repeat to clean all the crap out of it, especially with the oil for food scandal.
