To her it sounds like the perfect solution and is a way for her to pass on her genes with the g/f. I can however see how this would be complicated! In her relationship the child would see her as a second mother figure wheras she would actually be the grandmother. The child would also think of you son as a half brother when he would actually be the father. You all need to sit down and talk about this one as it has many far reaching implications I think. I can see why you are feeling worried and confused over it and to be honest I don't blame you. All you can do is put on the kettle (how British am I!) and discuss it as adults over a cupof tea (don't forget the cakes though!). Remember your sons welfare has to come first, that's physical, mental and emotional welfare!
Good luck to you it is complicated and I think I'd be reacting the same way if it was me!

I think you know what you should do...we dont know how old your son is but you need to protect him from any guilt or bribes that they may inflict on him so that he will do it - no child should have to make a decision like that - and he would in effect be a father but have no rights in their eyes....think about the baby if it is ever born - all this incest-type things they will be so confused it is not fair on them

Get him to a safe place, fast, and now. This does not seem very wise or rational. As his father you can do something about this, unnatural act. Stop it before it happens. What will the child, your future grand child think about this? I think this is one of the strangest things I have heard on Yahoo Answers, no offense.
Your son really needs to think about this, seriously.

so wait...your ex wants her kid to be the father of her child with her gf? is that even legal? that's kinda jerry springer-ish...i would just tell them no and discuss the issue with your son to ensure that you're on the same page.

as long as your son is over the age of consent and the g/f is to be the biological mother of the child then there is not a lot you can do

well if your son is agreeing to it there really aint much you can do as it is his decision unless he is under age which i doubt he is. you need to talk to your son about this and make him see that it would not be right to do and let him know how much it would hurt you etc....
