I lay still
you know how weird it feels to lay completely still, you feel like your body is going to go into convulsions cause you're not moving, well I hold on to that feeling. sounds funny yeah but it works. and my mind concentrates on that nagging feeling of not being able to move so then it feels like I'm like, on a boat or something and before I know it I'm asleep.

Get off the computer (after you read this). The computer, TV, reading, other mental activities stimulate the mind and will only help you stay awake. Next time try to avoid those, as well as caffeine and food for a few hours before bed. Lie down, try to relax...by just letting go of your thoughts. If you can think of something that calms you down and doesn't make you want to get out of bed, good. Like how soft the bed or pillows are. Or maybe a break from work. Or if you are not hungry, some food you like or had today. Hopefully you'll chase a stray thought into a dream. Rather than focusing your attention on the thoughts that keep you awake, let them go. Maybe imagine them floating off on a cloud.

You will fall asleep. Go to bed. Anytime a new thought pops in your head very gently repeat "dismiss, dismiss, dismiss", gently push it away & the thought will go awaw.
If you know meditation mantra chant it gently until you fall asleep.
Good night & sweet dreams.
Love, Light & Peace
Relax & do not worry.

Either warm milk or a stiff drink should help.

Try a different room. Like the couch or something.
