Well because even as adults daddy still makes them feel like that little girl that felt so safe and secure by "his strong male but kind and gentle feeling he gave the woman. By calling her father "daddy: she is showing she still feels that strong loving bond she had for him as a child and it is he who show them what a man should be like and how she should be treated. There is no read a person should stop doing something like that

Some women are just extremely attached to their fathers and want to call them by their pet names. Others simply are too dependent on their fathers and revert to their little girl ways in hopes of looking more vulnerable and thus getting more attention from their fathers. These women are also called "daddy's girl".

Is there a rule that says the word 'daddy' is only meant to be used by little girls?

In that case, might as well, we start calling our dads, father. If you're refering to superficial maturity.

Besides, its a habit. If someone has called their grandmother 'grams' for decades, is there any reason for her to start calling her 'grandmother' just for the sake of appearing mature?

calling your father "daddy" isnt a crime! aren't we also allowed to be sweet to our dads? come on! eventhough im grown up and out of the house and in another country i call him daddy and we send emails and letters to each other...fathers have a right to be loved too if thats why u wonder.. and of course wouldnt you want your daughter to call you that and love you?

I don't understand what is sexy about this,
but it's enjoyed by families because it harkens back to bobyhood,
And speaking of that,
Why do men call women
"baby"?
We are a strange breed,
you are right

why he is still the same person as are you. if you are used to a name you stick with it. my son has always called his dad by his name and if I refer to his father he looks at me as if I am mad he is 18 now. it often changes when you have children and start calling your parents grandma and grandad or what ever.

Because we can. Women can be demure / strong, confident with speech or sweet and call their father ' daddy ' . . . why ? Because we are women. Smiles.
