After 5 years with his ex he never asked her to marry him,and to be honest altough i knew mum would re-marry,my brother and i never thought we would see this day,EVER.Dad was so besotted with his ex that even "daddys girl",obviously i mean me,was not allowed to call names or get too NASTY as my dad would say, even though done in jest, because he wouldn't allow it.,and altough painfull for me at times,i was glad to see him happy at last.I know for a fact that if she turned up on saturday and asked my dad to go back to her, this new woman wouldn't stand a chance of stopping him. This woman has already tried to cause havock in the family unit, although i have never been witness to this side of her i know thats just so she thinks she will be pleasing my dad and i expect change soon after. My fiance and i have been together for nine years now and we were only 17 and 19 years old then and lived apart(he lived in London and i lived in Oxford) for the first 1yr 6mths,marriage is still no issue

Ok hun look you obviously love your dad loads and want the best for him and your family but at the end of the day hes old enough to make up his own mind and stick to his decision - even if its the wrong one.
HAve you tried talking to him as you have done here? Tell him what you've told us and if after that he still insists on marrying this woman then you have to respect his wishes and wish him luck. Your dad might see something in this woman that none of you guys do and she might truely make him happy and content.
I presume your dad is in the latteryears of his life and surely hes entitled to spend it with someone that completes him.
I know its hard to watch someone make a mistake but at the end of the day you could be wrong about this woman. xx

does this woman make your dad happy? if so, stay out of it. you're not daddy's little girl anymore.
I'm not trying to be mean, but things don't always go the way you want them to.
