If you can come up with a retirement income you can retire now.

If you are asking about Social Security I think you will have to wait until age 70 to be fully qualified, but you should be eligible for retirement on a reduced income at age 62.

Hello,

My Dad was born in 1946, he retired in 2006.

So, I would guess you can retire in 2009.

65 i suppose, 62 if you dont want full benefits, 58 if you are ok with about half of your social security.
