You can receive full retirement benefits at age 66.*
Remember, whatever your full retirement age is, you still will be able to retire at age 62 if you have earned enough Social Security credits, but your monthly benefits will be permanently reduced.
If you stop working before age 62 the years with no earnings will mean a lower Social Security benefit when you retire.

You can retire though at ANY age, it depends how much you want to retire and how hard you are willing to work to retire early.
