Assuming that you are an Indian and that Dells aren't available in India, I will recommend a Zenith or HCL. You get the maximum value for your money with them. Even a still cheaper option is getting an assembled computer.

I believe that that is Dell, not just because they have great quality / price ratio but especially because of the excellent after sales.
