Seriously.

I'm talking about REALLY wishing you had never met someone.

As in you wish you could let go of the good memories as well as the bad.

You just wish they were never there.

Not dead... just not in your life at all.

That's a tough question. There have been times when I've wished that, but there's always some sliver of sunlight that manages to slip in between the rain sometimes. Everything is a learning experience. You may have had some really bad relationships, but the only way you are really going to gauge a good one is if you've been in a really bad one.

No, I can't say that is so for me! With every person I have met and had good or bad experiences with (or because of)..I have gained experience, wisdom and courage. I have had some really bad things happen to me....and without those people I might not be who I am today. Please do not mistake that with being thankful for the people who wronged me....but thankful to the fact that I was able to find victory and strength in my experiences. So NO, there is not a single person I would have wished I had never met.
Find even one thing that you have learned about yourself from the "person" you wished you had never met and you will no longer be a victim to the experience you shared!!!

you know, whatever you are going through in life may seem hard at the time, but it all happens for a reason. I really HATED my ex, wished he dropped of the face of the earth. He was such a jerk to me, BUT if I hadn't been dating him, I would have never met a good friend who then in turn introduced me to my now husband of 12yrs. AND if I didn't go through all the crap I did with my ex, I wouldn't realize what a great guy my husband is. So in answer to your question, no, I don't ever wish that I had never met someone, because everything you go through in life, good and bad, makes you the person you are today.

I agree with the first poster. You sound like somebody broke your heart very badly. In life you have to take the good and bad memories. You can't run from it, and wishing you had never met that person is probably the worst thing you can do. You may have learned some serious life lessons from that person.

YES! I would like to be able to wipe this person out of my memory completely, yes. The good memory's only remind me of the bad.

And If I had not been SO lied to I would not have wasted my time. This was not love lost. Just time wasted which I believe is more valuable then merely losing a love as that can be replaced.

I've never done that, no. If I'd never met someone....I wouldn't be the person I am today. The people who come into our lives impact us in ways we can't even begin to imagine, even the cashier at the grocery store in the middle of the night that you always see, for example....everyone impacts us. I've learned that over the past few years :)

Yes. A "friend" of mine I knew for 20 years presented sworn affidavit to Family Law court & is testifying against me. I wish I had never met her. I don't have good memories with her & it was very easy going on with my life without her.

My world revolved around my ex-husband until he got his 19 year old secretary pregnant. Now she's taken my place and they're trying to get custody of my 4 year old son. Yep, wish I never met him! I'm glad I have my son though!
