My aunt has recently moved out of the state and is trying to sell her homes here. I was asked to help her water the plants at one of the houses so it would look presentable. Her instructions were to just go everyday to water the plants. Her "garden" consists mainly of greens and barely any flowers. Many of the flowers were dying when I got there, and even when I watered them, they still died. The live flowers are dying now as well. Some of the greens are fine while some are turning yellow. I don't know how much water to give the plants and how often.

Her instructions are the same regardless of season. It is now winter and I am so clueless as to how much water to give the plants, because my mom (which she has NO business of) keeps accusing me of not doing my job cuz the flowers died.

Can someone please help me? Thanks.

The symptoms of overwatering are the same as the symptoms of underwatering, Mother Nature made it conveniently easy to tell which you are doing that way. UGH
Sounds like you are overwatering since they keep dying anyway. (Did you know the LAST job you are given in a nursery is watering because it is so specialized?)
A good rule of thumb is if you stick your finger into the media and some soil comes away on your finger, you do NOT need to water it.
Overwatering causes rot, yellowing, wilting, lack of flowers, and a whole host of other issues. Let them dry completely, wait a few days and see if they have perked up and maybe dampen the soil again at that point. (Do not WET it to the point that they are sitting there with water in the plant trays, that is bad)

"Star" has very good advice ! Overwatering kills plants faster than under watering. Sounds like some of the over watered plants are dying
