Where do I get a visa for spain? I'm South African? In the U.K.?

The Spanish Embassy but they closed yesterday until 4th January 2007. They are also not accepting applications for visas for travel before 20th January 2007.

Requirements for a Spanish Tourist Visa Application

Passport and UK visa both valid at least 4 months longer than the validity of the requested visa
ONE FULL BLANK visa page to affix the visa.
UK Visas must be stamped inside your passport.
Applicant has to have already lived in the UK for at least 6 months
Bank Statement
Employment or College Letter
Last Three Payslips
Travel Insurance
3 Colour Passport Photographs (must have white background)
Complete and sign TWO Spanish Visa application forms
Complete and sign the "The Schengen Office Case Sheet" and "The Schengen Office Terms and Conditions"
The Schengen Office Handling Fee £65 plus Spanish Embassy Fee

I applied to the Spanish embassy for a visa about 4 years ago. It was a nightmare experience. The woman there was a dragon who snapped at people "Do you seriously want to go to Spain?" She needed a course in customer relations, as I told her. Unfortunately I had to go back the next day - there was some minor problem with my application. Make sure you've got everything as required, don't even bother going if there is one thing "not quite right". I'd love to know if it is still as bad - honestly, this is the worst - even worse than the French! Please let me know if the dragon is still there.
