If you're not attracted to her, it won't work. True love is when even someone's flaws are beautiful to you, and it's obvious that her flaws only turn you off. It's not love. Break it off now. Avoiding the breakup only makes the situation worse. Don't wait. If she's a nice girl like you say then she deserves your honesty, but be tactful. Good luck.

It does happen to a lot of people, it happened to me. It is temporary, and it happens typically with your first serious relationship when your brain attempts to question whether or not this is actually your ideal partner. Should the nose be different, your brain asks. People who have gone through many relationships perhaps don't question their relationship in the same way.
Don't worry, after a while, when you try to think of attractive features you only come up with her features.

looks are only skin deep my friend. do you have money for her to have her nose redone? just kidding. if your not attracted it does not matter how much she loves you and you say you love her? I'm concerned. what if she was in an accident and lost a limb? is it goodbye? maybe since it is your first serious relationship you need to still date? if so don't cheat tell her you two should seek out others because your not sure your ready. basically for now it should be over. thanks

Man, yea sometimes this has happened to me. It's almost like ... your telling yourself she's not the one. I mean for real though. I had the EXACT same thing where i was dating different women, (not all at once) and i would find myself the same way. Then i met someone that i totally knew was the one and I never have this problem with her. She is the one, i'm not married or anything but i know now thanks to her that it was just me letting myself know when they arent the one,

It does not happen to me... I can tell you that you need to end it.... even though you think your being shallow if your not attracted to her physically then how are your going to preform p[hysically when the time comes. mental attractions make good friends not lovers you need both to make it work. I don' think hurting her is good but telling her you like her in a friend way but not in the I want to spend all my time with you way. Girls like closure so you will have a tough time with this one. But I think if you continue to be with her you will end up just cheating on her and thats way worse!!!!

Try not to be so shallow (no offence). I learned a long time ago burning passion, and desire always goes away in time. I'm still attracted to my wife, but what is far more important to me (after 17 years together) is how well we work together as a team, how well we support each other, and how we can trust each other to do what is in both our best intrest.

How about asking straight people for advice on a straight relationship gone down the crapper instead of the LGBT community?

attraction is a first step but it isn't what commits you. to love is a decision. so the decision to stay in the relationship despite the lack of attraction means you love her. if you're not happy with her and your friendship anymore, then decide to leave. if the lack of attraction is the only issue in your relationship and you're not fighting and having the time of your lives, I guess she should leave you :P

I'm just wondering why you are asking the LGBT community for advice with this question? Did you not receive any good useful advice for the straight community?
