I prefer a mix of both, but it's not always acceptable.

Generally more at home going down the smart casual road .It does of course depend on the situation or function you are attending.It can feel great to be absolutely done up to the nines at times!At home it is casual all the way, with something a bit smarter at hand ready for surprise outings or visits.Wishing you a happy smart and comfortable festive season.

Yea - you're right ! Over here, we have a term used on invites. To describe the dress code for a specific occasion, it's usually: FORMAL or SMART CASUAL
Generally, we all always prefer SMART CASUAL. Our climate - hot and humid so FORMAL wear is not too comfortable for most of us.

A mix of both.
Casual- jeans and a tight tee with a fitted jacket (ie suit jacket- smart) and a nice pair of classy black boots (Smart) and smart gold jewlary that not to in your face.
It's smart, casual and not to offensive to the eye.

depends on where u are going in your clothes. smart casuals look the best for any occasion. very formal wear only for the formal occasions merry christmas and a happy new year
