Why go to a bar? The only acceptible thing I could come up with is live music and unique stories. People with travel experiences(ireland) unquie points of view(band members with kids). That's what I learned tonight. What do you think, success stories welcome, uunique point's of view greatly appreciated.

To be social. Going to bars doesn't mean you're trying to hook up with someone. Me and my girlfriends sometimes go to drink and dance the night away. Great stress relief. If a guy hits on one of us, so be it. I usually ignore it cause I have a boyfriend.

To get annoyed by all of the sad people killing their livers and drinking their life away, pissing their pants and stumbling home drunk not remembering how they got there. I don't get it, I would rather have a drink or two tops in a private environment with good friends and have sensible conversation that I will remember the next day and wake up without a hangover and actually enjoy living life. It is short and I don't want to waste it not remembering what I did after the 5th shot of tequila.

Lots of people go to the bar because they realize someone is not going to knock on their door to see if their home, or even know if they live behind their four walls! I know the bar gets old fast, but besides church, where your supposed to be quiet and praying, there's not a whole lot of places to meet. Hard to trust some strangers now days? After meeting someone in the grocery store for 5 min., it's hard to decide to throw out your number to that stranger! So.......you got any good stories for us???

That is where loose people are running loose.
And if you don't like their chatter, you can turn to someone else without offending too much.
And if they get rude,
You can turn to the bartender and have it "taken care of."

Bars suck! Too loud, too much smoke, no way to have a nice conversation with anyone for that matter.
