This can happen for many different reasons. The main one in my opinion is the power supply. Another problem could be that your CPU is overheating. You should also check to see if all your connections are properly fastened and in the right place and then run your BIOS by presssing delete at system startup (or whatever key it tells you to press at the beginning of startup at the bottom of the screen). Once in BIOS, check your boot order and make sure your computer recognizes your hard drive and dvd drive.
It's difficult to say what the problem is, it could be anything. It seems as if it's a hardware problem though if it's retarting on its own - could be overheating or even a memory problem. If it starts in safe mode though, it's probably a program malfunction (such as your OS), or even a virus. Hopefully this guides you in the right direction. Generally, a diagnostics check should determine what is wrong. Good luck.

Although there are various reasons of this kind of problems. many a times they are simple in nature like -
1 If u were installing OS and failed to complete the process half of the boot information leads to start PC but as soon as CPU detects insufficient data it restarts. This goes iteratively. Try to re-install OS in such case
2 It may be because of Trojan (virus like element) which invokes on a prticular event of process only. In that case u need to format ur OS drive and re-install OS
3 At times if u r using internet and ur OS is not authenticated then OS company can block its usage. ere also u have to format OS drive and re-install it.
4 Although rare but harware problems can also invoke this kind of problems. U need to contact ur service provider then.

My computer used to auto restart again and again too. My friend said that my hard disk was failing me and told me to back up all my data as she said that my entire computer was going to fail me too. However, after burning off around 10-20GB worth of data off my computer and emptying my recycle bin, the auto restarting thing stopped. Give it a try?

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
