No they are not. But if they fall into any food stuff, the bacteria will degenrate them and make the food toxic.
Though they eat bug, mosquitos and keep the insects off, they do sh*t around the walls and they may fall in your food. Personally, I entertain them on the outside of my home windows but if I find them inside, I normally drive them out.

They also bite on occassions. And my aunt had her finger bleeding when a house lizard bit her. My heart skipped a beat when a fat lizard fell on my head. Did manage to throw it off but yuck! I did not like touching it!

There are only 2 other lizards found in nature that are poisonous.

I was always taught that a lizard that has a blue belly is poisonous. That's not true. The only poisonous lizard that I know of here in the US is the Gila Monster. They have a poisonous bite.

No. The small lizards seen climbing on walls are not poisonous, but can bite like a mouse. I don't mind them at all as they eat lots of horrid insects.
The two well known poisonous ones don't usually climb since they burrow in the ground, and are usually too heavy to climb.

There are actually only two types of venemous lizards in the world. The Gila monster and the Beaded Lizard: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/reptiles/lizards_venomous/Venomous.php

So I'd suggest leaving the ones on your wall alone, they are completly harmless and help keep your home free of flies as that is what they mostly eat.
